Central West Vets golf report for game played at Bathurst on Monday June 29
Hi everyone,
Congratulation to each and everyone of you for the way you have been supporting Central West vets golf this year. We have experienced record attendance numbers at every game in 2026, and Bathurst was not an exception with 128 vet golfers enjoying what they like to do best on Mondays and that is play golf.
The weather was a very mild winter day with some cloud coverage and very little wind which was a good recipe for good scoring with all winners scoring well above their handicap and 34 points was not a guarantee of a ball on the ball sweep
On to results
Best on the day in A grade was Eric Whalan from Oberon with an excellent score of 41 points. Not far behind Eric was Andre Schuster from Bathurst with 39 points.
In B grade the winners was Leon Roweth from Blayney with the best score of the day of any grade of 42 points. Second was Paul Glynn from Molong with 41 points.
The Ladies’ comp winner was Judith Brewer from Wentworth with 39 points. Second was Alice McKeowen from Wentworth with 38 points
The Ball sweep went down to 34 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Peter Griffiths on the 4th, Don Hinks on the 8th, Chris Hadson on the 13th and Alice McKeowen on the 16th
Results for the 2026 Championships will be available in the next few days
