Central West vets enjoying lunch after the game
Central West vets golf results for Wellington on Monday May 11
Hi everyone,
An excellent field on 71 Central West vets’ golfers played the catch-up game due to rain last week’s rain at Wellington golf course.
The course was in excellent condition; the fairways had a good covering of grass but still provided a reasonable amount of run and the greens were of good pace and true to line.
On to results.
The best score of the day belong to Sue Vaughan from Wentworth who easily took out first place in the Ladies comp with 39 points. Not far behind Sue in second place was Jan Moad also from Wentworth with 35 points.
In the men comps the winner in A grade was David Ryan from Wellington with 36 points. Second was David O’Brien from Dubbo with 34 points.
In B grade the winner was Neale McCabe from Wellington with 34 points and second was Mark Frazer from Molong with 33 points
The ball sweep went down to 31 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Darrell Bourke on the 3rd and 16th and David O’Brien on the 8th.
