Central West Vets Championships results for 2025
Central West vets Captain David Agst the A grade winner with an excellent 40 points
Central West vets’ results for game played at Wentworth November 10
Hi everyone
A big field of 85 veteran golfers played a round of Central West vets’ golf at the Wentworth Golf club.
On arrival we were cordially welcome by Todd and Ricky in the Proshop and a nice cup of coffee and home-made biscuits and we also enjoyed a nice lunch provided by the Wentworth golf club and the completion of the game.
The golf course was in excellent condition which was reflected by the very good scores in all grades. The tees and the fairways had a good coverage of grass, and the greens were a pleasure to putt on.
On to results
Best on the day in A grade was David Agst who used all his local knowledge to put together an excellent round of 40 points. Second in A grade was David’s playing partner Alan Renike with a very good score of 39 points. I have been assured by other members of the group that they didn’t score each other’s cards.
Mick Floyd was the winner in B grade with 42 points which was the best score on the day of any group. Second in B grade was Ian Crofts with an excellent 41 points.
The ladies comp winner was Patricia Harvey with a score of 37 points.
The ball sweep went down to 36 points on a countback which is indicative of how well you had to play just to get a ball. Nearest to the pin winners were Gary Cornish on the 3rd, Karl Temper on the 5th, Doug Westcott on the 6th, Lindsay Beileiter on the 13th and David Harvey on the 17th.

The starting time sheet is open on the Central West vets’ website www.cwvetsgolf.com
We had record number of players as part of the Ultimate Golf Challenge at Wellington and Canowindra, lets make it three in a row by also having record numbers at Molong. They need our support.
Good golfing everyone
