Central West Vets report for Molong played on Monday February 23
Hi everyone,
A good field of 42 players went to Molong Golf Course to play a round of Central west vets’ golf.
I can’t tell you much about the weather on the day because I wasn’t there, I am presently having my yearly water fix at beautiful Broulee down the South Coast, so this report is going to be a little short.
I have no doubt that everyone who played enjoyed the customary hospitality that we have always enjoy whenever we play Molong.
On to results
The winner of today’s game was Robert Baker with an excellent 38 points.
We had a countback to decide second place when Roger Wood and Murray Miller both returned scores of 36 points. Rogers had all the local course knowledge but Murray’s better back nine was enough to claim second place relegating Roger to third place.
The Ladies winner was decided on a countback when Alice McKowen and Robyn Forrester both had scores of 29 points. The scores gave Alice first place by the narrowest of margins.
The ball sweep went down to 29 points. No nearest to the pin markers were available.
