On to todays’ results.
The cream raised to the top today with A graders returning the best four scores.
Best of all was Chris Hadson from Bathurst with a score of 43 points. Chris played solid golf for 22 points on the front nine holes and followed it with 21 points on the back nine.
The unluckiest player on the field today was Leon Sadler from Wentworth. Leon playing off a 7 handicap scored 42 points and played the back nine holes one under par for 22 points, but he could only settled for a ball on the ball sweep when Brian Hope from Bathurst playing off 6 came in with the same score of 42 points and the same 22 points on the back nine. Brian won the countback because he scored one more point than Leon on the last six holes.
The winner in B grade was Peter Hedberg from Duntryleague with a score of 38 points.
We had a countback to decide second place when Jeremy Tadman from Duntryleague and Al Hammond from Bathurst both returned scores of 37 points. The computer gave Jeremy second spot because of a better back nine.
The winner in the Ladies comp was Sue Gander from Wentworth with 35 points. Second was Trish Harvey with 33 points.
We had 106 players on the field which was an excellent field considering the current fuel situation. The Ball sweep went down to 33 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Garry Giddings on the 4th, Leon Sadler on the 8th, Graham Walker on the 13th and Peter Gray on the 16th.
