Central West vets report for game played at Bathurst October 30

Hi everyone,

The Central West vets are really finishing off the year with a bang. In the last few rounds, we had very good fields at Canowindra and Molong and at Bathurst we had the best attendance of the year with 109 players taking part. Well done everyone for supporting vets’ golf.

On to game results.

The best round of the day was played by Sue Vaughan with an excellent score of 43 points. Sue was definitely not concerned about the fast greens, but she may be concerned when she plays next and finds that her handicap has taken a tumble.

The best in A grade was Bill Lambert from Bathurst with two very solid nines of 19 and 22 points for 41 points score for the round. Second was Kosta Athanasious on a countback with Allan Renike when both had scores 38 points.

The best in B grade was Peter Reddan with two very consistent nines of 20 and 21 points for a game score of 41 points. James Johnson was second on a countback from Paul Rosconi with both scoring 39 points.

The ball sweep went down to 32 points and nearest to the pin winners were Simon Dundon on the 4th, Andre Schuster on the 8th, Graham Lee on the 13th and Chris Phillip on the 16th

On a sad note, Roy Smith from Wentworth golf club quietly passed away some day ago. Roy was a long-standing member of the Central West veteran golfers.
We offer Roy's family our sincere condolences.

Next round of Central West vets’ will be at Oberon. It will be the usual walk up start so be there between 8 and 9am to get a game.

Good golfing everyone
