Central West vets golf report for Wellington, Sep 11

Hi everyone,

Another great day of golf enjoyed by 59 Central West vet golfers at the Wellington Golf club.

As we have become accustomed to whenever we play Wellington, we experienced a cordiality that has no bounds. A very nice cup of coffee or tea and cakes on arrival and an excellent lunch after the game made the trip worthwhile and even the weather turned on a perfect early Autumn day of 20 degrees. Where else would you want to play golf on a Monday?

The best player in A grade, on a countback, was Kosta Athanasiou who finished his round with a score of 38 points. David Nicholls also finished with 38 points, but he had to settle for second place with Kosta having the better back nine.

Peter Reddan required a correction to his handicap before he was declared the winner in B grade with 39 points. Jeremy Tadman was second with 37 points.

The winner in the ladies, comp was Roslyn Fuller with 32 points.

The ball sweep went down to 31 points. No nearest to the pin were put out so extra balls have been added.

Full results.

Next Central West vet’s game will be at Wentworth on Monday September 25
