Central West vets enjoying a gourmet pie lunch at Blayney Golf Club

Central West vets report for game at Blayney Monday Feb 5.

Hi everyone,

A reasonable field of 32 Central West vet golfers play a round of golf at Blayney on Monday Feb 5. The threat of rain, which never eventuated, might have kept a few golfers away which was disappointing considering the effort the Ted Dell and his helpers put in to make sure that the club house and the golf course were open so that we could enjoy our regular Monday vets’ golf.

The course was in very good condition and the lunch of gourmet pies after the game was very much enjoyed by all. A big thank you to everyone involved at the Blayney golf club.

On to results

The day winner was Bill Vaughan with an excellent score 19 points the first time around the course and followed up with 18 points the second time around for a score of 37 points to get the winners voucher on a countback from Simon Dundon. Simon played excellent golf the first time around the course for 22 points, but he may lament a few miss opportunities with 15 points the second time around.

Best of the ladies was Kay Kearney with a very solid 31 points.

The ball sweep went down to 27 points.

Next round of Central West vets’ golf will be at Wentworth on Monday, February 12.

You will need to call the pro shop on 02 6361 4505 to book a time and cart if required.

Until then may the Gods of golf be kind to you
