Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Central West Vets golfers

Central West Vets golf report for Wentworth December 18

Hi everyone,

A very good field of 90 Central West vet golfers enjoyed an excellent day of golf at the Wentworth Golf Club.

We were very cordially welcome by the two Todds in the Proshop on arrival and enjoyed a very nice morning tea of biscuits and Christmas delicacies that John Cowell wanted to take the credit for cooking them, but we know better. Thank you, Mrs Cowell, the pastry twirls were delicious.

The course was in very good condition with lots of grass on the fairways and ample run and the greens were of fair pace.

The weather was hot and so were the scores with players needing to score 35 points or better to get a ball in the ball sweep.

The best score of the day belong to Bill Kirsop from Wenty scoring an excellent 43 points to win B grade. Not far behind was Dennis Duncan also from Wenty who was second with 40 points.

The ladies also excel on the day with Maureen Lawrence from Canowindra taking first place with 38 points and Patricia Harvey finishing second with 37 points.

The best in A grade was David Parkes from Wenty with 37 points on a countback from Dennis Fardell who also got second place on a countback from John Davis

The ball sweep went down to 35 points. Nearest to the pin winners are list below.

Full results and ball sweep.
