Central West vets golf report for game at Blayney August 11
Hi everyone,
A good field of 47 Central West veteran golfers challenged their golfing ability against the almighty Blayney golf course and once again the golf course was the winner. The course was in very good condition with generous run and good grass on the fairways, but the greens were a challenge too great for most of us to overcome.
Blayney greens have always been hard to read and if you add hard pin placement, playing to your handicap becomes a task too hard to achieve. Only three players played to their handicap or better.
Best of all today was Glyn Samuel from Oberon with a very good score of 39 points. Second place went to Peter Chaffey from Bathurst with 37 points and Dale Salter from Blayney/Bathurst took out third place with 36 points
The ball sweep went down to 29 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Ian Fitzgerald on the 2nd and Col Thomas on the 11th.
Prizes and ball sweep
Next Central West vets’ game will be at Molong on Monday August 25
Molong is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00 to get a game
Good golfing everyone
