Central West vets enjoying lunch at Wellington Golf club
Central West vets report for game played at Wellington October 20 and round 1 of the “Ultimate Golf Challenge”
Hi everyone
A very big field of 73 Central West veteran golfers played the first round of the “Ultimate Golf Challenge” in conjunction with our regular round of vets’ golf at the Wellington golf course.
The course was presented in excellent condition. The fairways had a good grass cover, and the recently renovated greens were firm and true to line.
Comp results.
David Naveau from Wellington used all his local knowledge to great effect to win A grade with a score of 41 points. In second place was David Agst from Wentworth with 38 points
The B grade winner was Rex England from Wellington with 40 points. Second place went to Jeremy Tadman from Duntryleague with 37 points.
The ladies’ comp winner was Kim Gersbach from Wellington with 38 points.

Ultimate Golf Challenge leaderboard after round 1 played at Wellington
Local knowledge played a big part today with Wellington players taking up the first two places on the Ultimate Golf Challenge leaderboard. The big question is. Will they be able to maintain their form when we play Canowindra on Monday November 3. Will see.
Here is the leaderboard
Tee time bookings are now open for Canowindra on our website www.cwvetsgolf.com
Places are limited at Canowindra so get in early if you want a preferred spot.
Carts are also limited so you will need to call the club on 0263 441 342 to confirm your booking
Good golfing everyone
