Central West vets game report for Canowindra, March 13

Hi everyone,

If you didn’t come to Canowindra because you thought it was going to rain, you got wrong.

It was a beautiful autumn day, not a drop of rain to be seen anywhere, a balmy 23 degrees with no wind and an overcast sky. A great day for a game of golf.

As it is usual at Canowindra, we were welcome with a nice morning tea and a very good lunch at the completion of the game.

On to golf results

The cards checkers had to work overtime to decide the day winners when Len Hamilton from Canowindra, David Nichols from Wentworth and Barry Rue form Canowindra all returned cards of 36 points. After much card checking and deliberation the judges decided to that Len should get first, followed by David and Barry.

The ladies’ winner was Laurell Gassman

Next Central West vets game will be at Molong on Monday, March 20.

Molong is a walk up start so be there between 8:00 and 9:00 to get a game
